Park’s work depicts chairs, focussing on the similarity between the shape of the chair, with legs, back, arms and that of the human body. Using the chair as a way of describing human relationships the work often shows multiple chairs viewed from different angles. The work plays between 2 dimensions and 3 dimensions with some works showing each side of a single chair and in doing so reveals the hidden, unseen aspect. Other works are printed directly from the parts of dismantled chairs. The artist says, “I try to get people to see the value of the things which are unseen. In think people need to try to see things more thoughtfully and carefully. For that reason, I would like to show the things we easily overlook, to catch more of the details which are always around us in our lives.”
